The Mission of RMD-IEDC is to "Develop Institutional mechanism to create Entrepreneurial culture in the college to foster growth of Innovation and Entrepreneurship amongst the faculty and students".  

The goal of RMD-IEDC, is to bring out the software/hardware product which has market value, prepare Business which has market value, prepare business plan and to form a company. Through this student learn the value of product, costing of the product, marketing strategy, funding and the process of registration of company. Every year five student projects are funded by DST and five additional projects are supported by institute.

IEDC in the Fourth Year has been immensely proactive and driven students towards innovation and has supported them in their endeavors by providing mentorship and technical support to materialize their ideas. Students have been forth coming and have benefitted from this initiative and are successfully developing product oriented projects which solve a day to day problem. They are now forthcoming and open to take up entrepreneurship and start up after their graduation.
