R.M.D. Engineering College launches a new Industry relevant B.Tech. programme – Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning with COGNIZANT as “KNOWLEDGE PARTNER”. This course is a blend of two technologies AI and ML which are considered as trending topics in the current scenario. AI and ML technologies increasingly find their way into everything from advanced quantum computing systems and leading-edge medical diagnostic systems to consumer electronics and “smart” personal assistants. Revenue generated by AI hardware, software and services is expected to reach $156.5 billion worldwide this year, according to market researchers, upto 12.3 percent from 2019. Artificial intelligence and machine learning technology is increasingly finding its way into cyber security systems for both corporate systems and home security. To enhance personalized learning experience among our students, an AI-driven learning platform RMKNextGen app has been launched. 4 Centres of Excellence with Industry Collaborative Labs associated with Cognizant Technology Solutions, Virtusa Software Solutions, and Tata Consultancy Services has been established. Personal Care and Counseling is done by allotting 20 students for each counselor. The Department has adequate computing lab facilities and well-equipped state-of-the-art laboratories in collaboration with industries like Cognizant. Facilities are available for online teaching and learning process. Smart classrooms with LCD projectors and smart boards are available in the campus.

Experienced faculty who are trained in digital teaching process with personalized mentoring and care are working in collaboration with industries. Industries like Zoho, Virtusa, Cognizant Technology Solutions Tata Consultancy Services and Wipro Technologies appreciated our faculty team for excellent on-campus collaboration. Faculty members are trained by Industries to deliver the content as per Industry expectations.

Centre of Excellence in Artificial Intelligence is established in collaboration with Cognizant. Curriculum covers emerging topics in AI and ML along with core concepts of computer science. AI and ML stream covers Machine Learning, Data Analytics, Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing, Computer Vision, etc. Tools & languages like R, Python, TensorFlow, Scikit-learn, SAS, SPSS, Keras, PyTorch etc., Our faculty members are trained by experts from leading MNCs. Trained Faculty members in association with MNCs design the curriculum such that our students will enhance their practical knowledge in addition to their theoretical knowledge. Lab integrated courses are included as per the suggestions provided by the industry experts. Students will be engaged with real-world projects mentored by industry resource persons. Curriculum is blended with case studies, quizzes and assignments. Capstone projects in the area of AI and ML will be provided for the students to enhance their skills.
