About the College

R.M.D Engineering College was started in the year 2001  at Kavaraipettai, Gummudipoondi Taluk, Thiruvallur District under the auspices of Sri Swaminatha Naidu Educational Trust. The trust renders philanthropic and educational services to Telugu linguistic people living in rural areas bordering Tamil Nadu and Andhra Pradesh. The main objective of the trust is to foster quality technical higher education, research and training in various branches of Engineering and Technology and simultaneously inculcate a sense of discipline among the youth  so that they can be moulded into competent and talented engineers. The college is located at Kavaraipettai at a distance of about 35 km from Chennai on the Chennai – Kolkata National Highway (NH5).  It offers undergraduate programmes in Engineering and Technology and also post graduate programme in Computer Science and Engineering.  R.M.D. Engineering College is Accredited by NAAC & NBA and certified with ISO 9001:2008 by the DNV, Netherlands for the standard maintained in the delivery of under-graduate and post-graduate programs. R.M.D. Engineering College is the recipient of Bharatiya Vidya Bhavan National Award for Best Engineering College having the Best Overall Performance for the year 2010 by ISTE. The college received platinum category award in AICTE-CII survey.

About the EEE Department

The department of Electrical and Electronics Engineering was started during the academic year 2001-2002 and it was accredited by NBA for three Years. The department has highly qualified and dynamic faculty members specialized in various fields such as Power system, Power Electronics and Drives, Applied Electronics etc. The department has a close relationship with professional bodies and experts from leading institutions to share their knowledge with the students and faculty in the various emerging fields of Electrical and Electronics Engineering.

About the Conference

The National Conference on Green Energy (NCGE-2018) is a forum for the presentation of technological advances and research results in the fields of Clean and Green Energy. The conference will bring together leading researchers, engineers and scientists in the domain of interest from various parts of the country. It is aimed at exchanging information between academic community and industrial organizations and also throwing light on the state of art research observatio
