About the College
R.M.D Engineering College one among the R.M.K Group of Institution was established in 2001. The R.M.D Engineering College is a Co-educational Institute running B.E/B.Tech Courses in Engineering and Technology with specialized post-graduate programs in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Applications and Business Administration. The College is recognized as one of the outstanding Colleges in Chennai. R.M.D Engineering College is situated at Kavarapettai, Gummidipoondi Thaluk, Thiruvallur Dist, Tamil Nadu. It is on the “NH5”, 30 Km from Chennai. R.M.D Engineering College is promoted by Swaminatha Naidu Educational Trust to render philanthropic and educational service to telugu linguistic people living in rural areas bording Tamilnadu and Andrapradesh. The College is approved by the All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE), New Delhi and affiliated to Anna University, Chennai. R.M.D Engineering College has been certified with ISO 9001:2008 by the DNV, Netherlands for the standard maintained in the delivery of under-graduate and post-graduate programs. Computer Science and Engineering, Information Technology, Electrical and Electronics Engineering, Electronics and Communication Engineering are the courses accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA), New Delhi for five years.
About the IT Department
The Department of Information Technology (IT) was established in the year 2001with the aim of providing inclusive technology education to students, and thereby creating responsible citizens who would be a globally competent individuals contributing to the betterment of their families, society and nation. IT department started with UG Program with a sanctioned intake of 60 students. The Department has the state-of-the-art facilities for various laboratories, a well-equipped seminar hall, Wi-Fi enabled campus to support e-Learning, and a department library. Some of the laboratories have also been set up in collaboration with industries as part of Centre of Excellence (CoE) such as Inautix, CTS and Virtusa-Polaris.The Department has highly qualified and motivated faculty members. All the faculty members are involved in research and published papers in the reputed technical journals and conferences across the world. The department regularly conducts conferences & workshops for students and academicians in the emerging technologies. The department is ISO 9001:2008 certified and also accredited by the National Board of Accreditation (NBA) in the year 2017.
About the Conference
The objective of the National Conference on Latest Issues in Information Technology (LIIT-2018) is a premiere event focused on the recent issues in Information Technologies, Computer Science and related disciplines.The main scope of LIIT-2018 is to bring together the researchers, engineers and research students in all areas of Computer Engineering, Information Technology and Telecommunication in and around India to exchange original research results , new theory and practical views and ideas.
