2 papers were presented and 6 projects were completed by the final year students.

10 students of the Department of EEE had their hands on in-plant training in the operation of power station and switch gear manufacturing in the following industries Basin Bridge Gas Turbine Power Station, BHEL Hyderabad, North Chennai Thermal Power Station and Substation Gummidipoondi.

Kribakara Sudhan and M.D.Manjunath of Final Year class presented a paper titled “A generalized design method for minimum dynamic power in CMOS VLSI circuit” held at BITS Pilani on 21st of January 2006.

Avinash Balaji a Third Year student won the second place in the quiz competition held at SRM Valliammai Engineering College, Kattankulathur, Chennai on 10th of April 2005.

Vijiya Bhaskar Reddy obtained the 13th University Rank for the academic year 2001 to 2005.

6 papers were presented and 3 projects were completed by the final year students.  Students also attended 9 conferences.

Training was imparted on Microwave and SCADA Communication, Mobile Communication, Circuit Implementation and PCB Design to 23 students in TNEB, BSNL, Mostek Electronics, Madras Fertilizers, Excel Telecom Ltd. and BEL.

N.Ramakrishnan a final year student won the first prize on presenting a paper titled “Blue tooth enabled automatic campus guider system for educational institution” in Thiruvalluvar College of Engineering and Technology, Vandavasi on 11th  & 12th August of 2005.

K.K.Chaitanya and Srijeeth V of final year students won the second prize in the Debate competition and won the first place in the quiz competition held in Osmania University.

D.Arulnambi of third year student presented a paper titled “Early Detection of Breast Cancer by FIR irradiation” in the Bannari Amman Institute of Technology and an other paper titled “Early Detection of Melanoma by MIR Irradiation” in the Saradar Patel College of Engineering and Sardar Patel Institute of Technology.

K.K.Chaitanya presented a project on “Wireless object picking robots” in the Osmania University.
